Responses to the OTSP Request for Information on Public Access to Digital Data Resulting From Federally Funded Scientific Research

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) recently offered the opportunity for interested individuals and organizations to provide recommendations on approaches for ensuring long-term stewardship and encouraging broad public access to unclassified digital data that result from federally funded scientific research.

Data-PASS   has submitted a response based upon the Alliance’s mission and goals, and endorsed the response of the National Digital Stewardship Alliance, of which Data-PASS is a founding member.  Members of Data-PASS have also submitted responses on behalf of their institutions. Each of these responses are found linked below. We encourage the community to critique the and to borrow from them as part of their response to OTSP or to the report on data sharing issued by the National Science Board.
